FrontM, the maritime operating platform company, has appointed Punit Oza as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) as it expands into Singapore and enters a phase of accelerated fleet rollouts and ecosystem expansion.

With over 1,000 subscribed commercial vessels, 20+ integrated partners and a broader maritime tools development roadmap, FrontM is evolving into a sovereign operating platform for maritime companies. The platform enables maritime companies to adopt new ways of operating through AI-enabled workflows across crew engagement, operations, welfare and compliance, while maintaining measurable ROI.

Punit brings over three decades of leadership experience in the maritime industry, spanning shipowning, commercial operations, industry governance and transformation. He has held senior roles with organisations including Torvald Klaveness and Precious Shipping and is the current President of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) and a former board member of the Singapore Maritime Foundation. He is widely recognised for his contribution to maritime leadership, education and industry collaboration.

As CCO, Punit will lead FrontM’s global commercial strategy, enabling maritime companies and partners to rapidly integrate and deploy operational, crew and compliance workflows across their fleets.

Commenting on the appointment, Punit Oza said, “What maritime needs now is not more isolated solutions, but a strong operational foundation that enables closer collaboration between ship and shore, an ambition the industry has long spoken about but has yet to fully unlock. FrontM is addressing this by creating a much-needed common interface where people, partners and processes converge. I look forward to working alongside the talented team to help customers and partners accelerate industry goals with confidence.”

Kiran Venkatesh, Co-founder and CEO of FrontM, added, “Solving fragmentation and improving crew welfare is only the starting point. Punit shares our vision to help the maritime industry move beyond legacy operating models and turn platform adoption into real commercial progress, including long-term goals such as sustainability. We are excited to work closely with Punit to support the next phase of the industry’s digital transformation.”

With deep maritime expertise combined with a flexible operating platform, FrontM is well-positioned to enable stronger partner collaboration and deliver measurable value for maritime operators navigating digital transformation.
