Everybody knows that value from technologies happen when we get people, technology and processes working together. 

 

At People Tech Maritime in Athens in April, we'll learn about the best ways this can be done, from the people who have done it.

We'll cover using advanced technologies and AI, cybersecurity, achieving digital maturity, and developing decarbonisation technology.

We will have a special focus at this event on data integration and contextualisation. The pathway to improving operational effectiveness, and investability of decarbonisation projects, often seems to lie in how well we can put data together. Having contextualised data makes it easier for people with less experience to make good operational decisions, and makes it easier to roll out all kinds of AI tools. To get there we need some kind of data contextualisation model put together by a domain expert - this is not something which can be automated. We'll discuss how we can get there.

DECARBONISATION WORKSHOP

A special workshop on April 22 will look at how we can make decarbonisation and the associated data easier to manage, building on our decarbonisation session in Athens in October 2025.

​

We will explore how companies can improve the data they get about actual vessel performance and operations and use it to improve performance, perhaps without needing large technology investments, working with what we already have. 

​

We'll explore how the investment case in decarbonisation technology can be improved, such as by using data to help prove an investment has a low risk attached, and so investors may be satisfied with a lower rate of return.

​

This may provide the pathway to investment in ammonia fuelled ships, shipboard carbon capture and other methods.
