Navarino is pleased to announce its collaboration with Signal Fusion to introduce advanced crew-readiness intelligence capabilities to the maritime industry.
The collaboration brings together Navarino’s digital maritime ecosystem and Signal Fusion’s innovative approach to human-factor risk visibility, helping shipping companies identify early indicators of crew-readiness concerns before they develop into safety or operational issues.
As the maritime industry continues to place greater emphasis on human factors, operators are increasingly seeking better visibility into crew welfare, communication, watchkeeping capacity, and safe task execution. Regulatory frameworks including the International Maritime Organization ISM Code, International Labour Organization MLC 2006, STCW requirements, and SIRE 2.0 all reinforce the growing importance of proactive crew-readiness management across fleet operations.
Signal Fusion has been developed specifically to help maritime operators detect and assess early readiness signals derived from voice, narrative, behaviour, and operational context. The platform transforms these signals into practical operational insight, enabling shore teams to review concerns earlier, provide appropriate support, and improve operational decision-making.
Importantly, Signal Fusion is not designed to score, penalize, or exclude seafarers. Instead, the platform is intended to support crews and operators alike by reducing the gap between weak human-factor signals and responsible operational action.
Through the collaboration, maritime operators will benefit from:
Greater visibility into crew readiness across fleets
Earlier identification of safety-relevant readiness concerns
Better insight into communication, coordination, and escalation patterns
More timely intervention before stress or fatigue affects safe performance
Improved alignment between human readiness, operational reliability, and safety management
By combining operational connectivity with advanced readiness intelligence, Navarino and Signal Fusion aim to help maritime operators strengthen safety culture, improve operational resilience, and support seafarers more effectively across global fleets.
‘This collaboration reflects the industry’s growing recognition that safety and operational performance are closely linked to human readiness,’ said Katerina Lile, Business Development Manager at Navarino. ‘Together with Signal Fusion, we are helping maritime operators move from reactive processes toward earlier visibility, better support, and more informed operational decision-making.’
