Why People Tech Maritime?

People Tech Maritime is about improving the relationship between people and technology in the maritime industry.
This is for all people in operational maritime roles, including crew, superintendents, technical and safety management staff, commercial staff and senior decision makers.
We look particularly at digital technology (including satellite communications) and decarbonisation technology.
We run events, workshops and webinars, and produce a quarterly magazine and newsletter, reporting on our event discussions and sharing industry news.
Our premise is that there is still a wide gap between the ideal portfolio of tools which would help shipping company people to do their jobs better, and the products they are currently offered.
This is because products are primarily developed to do something specific, rather than support people in their work and the range of activities they need to do.
We can make progress by building and sharing standardised frameworks of how people and technology can best work together. This is what People Tech Maritime will support.

Our marketing and webinar lead, Farah, makes sure our insights reach the right audiences and that every online event feels like a real conversation, not just another screen.
